Mahia Beach, Hawke's Bay (NZ)

When I was in North Island, NZ I traveled for a week with my ex-packhouse colleague, Nora who's from Germany. It was a 215km drive from Napier where I was doing my accommodation exchange to Gisborne via State Highway 2.

Half way through, we decided to drove to Mahia Beach for a stopover. Mahia Beach is a popular spot for surfing, fishing and diving especially during summer time. We were probably the only visitor there partly because of the weather which was cloudy and drizzling at times and it was during April (autumn in NZ) .

Super windy, almost got blown away lol

Nora's car which she named it Bruno. According to her Germans like to name their car as a lucky charm thing.

Even in dismal weather, Mahia Beach is stunningly beautiful
