The star gazing hut where you can see tones of stars in the sky at night. The night sky in this piece of land is just way too beautiful. We didn't stay in this one though.

We saw some flowers at a damaged house site and there were notes written there, I didn't take a photo of it but its something like ' mummy....we will miss you'
Is was so sad to see that.

One of the road along Christchurch city center. Some parts were closed for re-construction work and there weren't a lot of people on a weekday afternoon.
According to one of my friend, the city center will be open on March next year.

Gonna start my 2nd week of work today after a long weekend getaway.

We went over to Nelson for a night and watched the Rugby World Cup France vs All Blacks.

The weather is still cold out here and i wonder when's summer gonna come.

A town with only 500 population and a main street.

Just moved over here today and there's nothing pretty much to do around here.

We sort of got a job =D

Were supposed to rush back to Blenheim from Nelson yesterday, half way through we stopped by at the petrol station of Havelock for a toilet break.

Talked to a local dude and he suggested us to try out at mussle factory just around the corner and there we went.

Will be having the medical test and thursday and if everything goes fine we'll start work on monday, working on night shift 4.30pm-2am.

I can't wait and a lil nervous.

Will update soon how it goes =)

1st Week in NZ

Hello all,

It's my 8th day in NZ. Getting used to the life in NZ though the weather is still really cold now.

Been travelling a few places around South Island.

Chrischurch -> Blenheim -> Motueka -> Nelson and then we are heading back to Blenheim to continue to hunt for jobs.

Great eye opener and first time leaving off my comfort zone (home).

Learning to be independent and at the same time experiencing something different.

Meet lots of Malaysians here.

Thankgod that we managed to get a FREE car (subaru legacy) from Chris' friend and now travelling around is much much easier.

Before that we've walked under the rain and cold for few kilometers to ask for jobs in the vineyard.

Oh gosh hopefully by my next update i'd secured a job.

After 11 hours of flight and we're finally here.

Staying at Rainbow Star which the owner is actually asian.

At the hostel living room now while the rest of the people are all asleep.

Jet lag sucks. 10.09pm Malaysian time and 2am NZ time.

I'm wide awake.

Excited for tomorrow yet a little blur about directions and all that.

Trying to adapt to life here.

Hello all,

Am finally back from Macau/Hong Kong trip today.

First time going for a trip overseas on our own. It was a really great and eye opener experience.

I'm glad that i managed to bring the parents around and its actually not that scary. One thing you gotta learn is to be thick skin and dare to go up to the locals to ask when you need help.

I walked so much till my legs gone totally numb. I swear i've never walked that much eversince i was born. Good training for the legs and preparation for the coming trip.

3 more days till NZWH. Looking forward to explore the other side of the world yet a little heavy hearted to leave home.

I went to Sabah few weeks back with the family for 4 days 3 nights.

Sabah is so beautiful.....i can't wait to pay another visit to this place, am definitely gonna stay longer there cuz 4d3n is just not enough to explore the land !

Thinking of Tawau and some island on the next visit probably Sipadan island to get da freaking DIVING LICENSE!

Hello sabah!

We stayed at Promenade Hotel. Didn't take any pictures because i think the hotel decor and everything is just so so...nothing much to mention about.

So after we checked in, we went to Shang Ri La Resort & Spa to catch the sunset there.

The resort is so beautiful! One night there cost around RM900 or more.
Imma earn more money and treat the family to stay there next time =)

Long hiatus and yeah people i'm still very much alive =))

Just got back from a short vacation at land below the wind~ Sabah.

It is such a wonderful place.....the people, the city, the food, the sea, the mountain etc. I'm falling in love with this place <3

Totally changed my mind that East Malaysia is boring, and i am so wrong.

Took a tone of pictures cuz the place is just too pretty.

Ahh well....missing the sun tanning moment now.....laying on the beach with your mp3, a nice book and also hot hunks beside you. Damn can't wait to go back there another time

Moving again end of this month. It's like i've been moving every once a year in this city. Moving and leaving for good for a period of time. I'm gonna miss this place.

Received so many goodies, souvenirs from friends and student these day!!

And today a student's mum whom i'm quite close to gave me a whole set of winter clothing *gloves, long john, jacket!

Super speechless and touched....and she always invite me to her house for dinner.

Priceless things that you get from your work is just so satisfying though sometimes they might give you headaches but at the end of the day i still love most of them so much*except a few evil ones

I've been bumming at home so much these days cuz the students are away for summer holidays.

And I reckon that the best way to save $$ is to not step outta the house so i'm being a good girl. But when i started flipping through Cleo mag with so many shit loads of temptations, the good girl starts to disobey.

The next thing i do is picking up the phone and setting a date to go shopping with the babes.

Sigh....damn fail la how to save more money like this? haha perhaps i'm gonna eat grass in kiwi land =p

Really enjoyed Dreamgirls tonight and around of applause for the local casts. They were great though it could have been better =)

Originally a musical and made into a movie with Beyonce as the leading role.

I love love loved the movie version partly because of Beyonce!
*friends used to nickname me beyonce when i'm in highschool (really buay pai seh) haha cuz she was the hit that time along with some other singers like Sean Paul.

Watched it during college years and the song Listen by Beyonce is our favvvvourite song. We always sing the song at home when we used to stay under one roof (Ann, Von)

A lil disappointed though cuz i heard that 'listen' won't be in the song lists in the musical cuz it was written specially for the movie only =(

Happened to spot this super unique KFC right opposite of the hotel ( Royal Hotel) we stayed in Penang.

I've been to Penang countless times but have never really realise there's actually this KFC building.

Hello peeps, just a short post.

And i assumed that most people who's working are already in their sweet dream but not me =P

I feel more awake at night and one more thing that keeps me awake is cuz of the stupid hunger pangs.

You start hallucinating all about food and especially the fattening sin food. Crap *smack head i gotta stop mentioning about food now.

Sigh having some stranger at the house these few nights which make me feel so damn uneasy. It's like someone had just stepped into my comfort zone.

June has been a moderately month. Zero shopping done on this month yet *proud
cuz i practically shop every single month. Had a nice celebration of Father's Day.

I was driving back home the other day and there was this guy(ice-cream seller) who's on his ice-cream bike who is heading towards my direction.

He was looking around and didn't realize i am coming towards his direction so i had to honk him just in case he bang into my car.

You know how people normally re-act when people honked at you, sometimes i'd be so pissed and even cursed in the car. I know it would have been not so nice to honk at people but i had to at that situation as a reminder to the driver.=p

I smiled at him and there he was putting a bright smile to me as well.

The smile totally brightens up my day after a tiring day at work.

Happiness is a choice of our own whether we choose to look at things at the positive way or the other way round.

Learning to be more open minded and to let go will make us a happier person.

When people laughed at you, we should learn to laugh back at ourselves and not let the ugly words affect our mood.

Am finally back at work after a week off.

Really enjoyed the break going for vacation, pigging out, then juice detox and meeting up the old friend =)

I'm so proud to say that i managed to survive 2 days of juice detox YAY!!!

Feeling great even though i can't stop thinking about food for the 2 days but i managed to pull it off.

On another note, i'm on juice detox for 2 days starting today.

But i kinda cheated cuz i had yee mee for breakfast with the orchestra gang and juice for the rest of the day.

Another day to go. Had to cleanse the body a little all thanks to the yummylicious calories(toxin) i gained in penang.

It ain't easy at all to not have food to chew on, temptations are so great, i could give up anytime but imma try my best to make it for this 2 days detox. Anyway this is my first attempt and i really hope it works.

Spent the whole night listening to my favourite classical tune.

Beethoven Symphony No.3 Eroica, Smetana's Die Moldau, Rach piano concerto no.2 and so on...

Songs that we listened over a hundred times when we were in uni especially the days when we have to listen around 30+ songs to prepare for the history listening test. Ahh...how i miss those days.

And the days of staying under one roof with the besties. Ann is in Aussie now and soon me and maybe the roomie might to leaving separate ways too.

Sigh time past, things changed, people grew.

Reality it is....when you were young, you had such a dream of someday what you'd become and 10 years later, reality hits you hard making you fall to the ground waking you up from your sweet little dream.

I miss practising so much. These days i seldom find myself having the urge to touch the piano.

Decoding the dream.

I had one of the worst nightmare yesterday night that sent chills down my spine.

In the dream, i witnessed a friend committing suicide. There he was, he jumped down from the building without any struggle like a bird. The sight of it really shocked me and then there's also this girl x which i dislike(in real life) appeared right after he committed suicide.

The guy was in love with the girl but the girl's not into him. The guy gets disappointed and decided to jump off the building.

I remembered every details of the dream so clearly. Wondering what does it the dream means.
Woke up feeling rather down and cranky.

On another note, i've finally finished reading Eat, Pray, Love. A very enjoyable book indeed and now i'm on another book.

I've been spending every late nights reading. The fun of reading is that you get to imagine stuff and stories of the book.

Here comes May. Bday month, bestie's bday, mother's day etc.

Great, i will be so broke by the end of the month because i'm rewarding myself something i've been eyeing for quite some time.

I woke up today feeling good thanks to the good sleep i had and also surprisingly that it is raining outside.

I love the rain. It calms the mind, soul and spirit.

It would be perfect with a freshly brewed hot coffee and a good book to go with.

Which one you wanna be and which level are you in now?

Majority of the people around me are having a moderate lifestyle.

But i bet everyone wants a good and luxurious life.

The rich stay at huge ass bungalows with maids and personal chauffeur.

The moderate stay at the typical condominiums or terrace houses.

The poor stay at the wooden houses and low cost houses.

And so today this is what witnessed:

Rich HongKong tai tais enjoying themselves having a diet dinner together, chatting away happily.

The young chauffeur was outside of the house waiting for them to finish their dinner.

The sigh of it suddenly just gave me an impact and kinda made me feel sad.

For once i know that money ain't everything but without money there's most probably less happiness.

Might be having pms today and hence the thoughts.

Okay now i feel like leaving on the jet plane now and probably fly to the moon >_<

And so today i've just realized that online shopping can go really addictive.

Within a few clicks and few seconds its a done deal.

You don't really feel anything after all except the fact that you're bank account digits is diminishing.

Way to scary, no wonder so many people are doing the online business these days.

I'm gonna be a couch potato hooked on korean series. Everyone looks so good in these korean drama thanks to plastic surgery.

I know there's alot of people who's against it and prefer natural beauty but if imma get rich i might consider going for it.

It's like the world is revolving around me while i'm still standing at my very own point without moving a bit. Sometimes it freaks me out.

Ya that's me when i get too free i tend to think a lot, dream a lot and wonder of my mind.

But when i'm too tired working on my stuff, i complain.

Chinese New Year is evil.

I ate sooooo much food and gained so much calories!!

Skipped gym for 2 weeks and probably stuffing myself with all those sinful delicacies everyday >_<

And so i decided to go hiking/jogging with dad in Lou Fu San (Tiger Hill).

Almost died halfway through the steps....and my superfit dad was way ahead of me, he kept coming back to me to check whether if i was okay.

Haha....guess i still need lotsa work out. The layer of fats accumulated around the waist is such a scary sight, i feel like killing myself now!

I'm an soooo freaking 'lucky' that my car got bang on tuesday while i was reversing my car outta my house.

It happened in less than a second i thought i bang a tree but turn out its actually a taxi.

Arghh.....nothing serious but now my car's got ugly scar on its body...fml

I have nobody to blame cuz i think its both party's mistake.

Oh gosh i got sick again last saturday thanks to the super cold aircon at my workplace and also the germs that my students passed to me ;(((

Chinese New Year in 1 weeks ++ time and i'm super excited for it. But before the cny i gotta work out a lot this week cuz i know i'm gonna binge during cny for sure!!
Am glad that my stamina is slowly improving now and i can run for a longer period. I never love working out as much as now. Way to go =)

Koh Phangan, Thailand NYE

My trip to Koh Phangan, Thailand was a real impromptu plan.

As i was planning to meet up with my friend in Penang and head on to Hatyai to celebrate Christmas there somehow during the very last minute my friend had to cancel the trip.

Was rather down because i had my stuff packed and currency changed.

Then Shima, my couchsurfing friend ask me to tag along with her to Koh Phangan for NYE. Since i was having holidays so i decided to tag along last minute.

I have never heard of this island before though.

Started our journey from Kl via bus (RM50) to hatyai at 10.30pm and reached hatyai around 8am the next day.

We then took a van to Surathani (Raja Ferry Donsak Pier). It took us around 4 hours plus to reach the pier.

It was raining all the way. My first time traveling on the road for such a long hour and also suffering from waist pain. Torturing enough for me.

Here's the pier. Boarded the ferry and can't wait to reach the island.

Waives were kinda rough that evening. Journey to reach Koh Phangan is around 2-3 hours. I actually puked during the ferry ride.

Finally at Koh Phangan around 8pm. We did not have any pre booking of accommodation. Was offered by the local a bungalows costing 1000 baht per night.

Sigh found out that it was more like a overpriced chicken hut. During the non-peak season the rate is only 30 baht! We can't complain much cuz it's around the new year eve season and most of the bungalows were fully booked.
On the way to dinner. People preparing for the party at night. It's a rope with fire where people get to jump over it.

Dinner at the place i can't recall what's it name. They were showing some american movies cuz this island is full of westerners (95%) mostly americans, europeans etc..you don't really see any asians on the street which is a weird sight. For once i thought i'm not in Thailand.

Time to party after dinner. They had lots of stalls selling booze at a freaking cheap price as compared to price in Malaysia.

In Koh Phangan its all about party party and party. They had this full moon, half moon, black moon party going on every month.

Here goes another year.

2010 went on kinda smoothly for me i guess. Well, i'm still safe and sound =p

Reflection of the year -->

-being couch potato for few months after i grad

-started my first full time job

-learned a bit of the ways of socializing, handling matters, and KIDS especially

-confidence level went up a lil' (can't help sometimes ppl gotta be thick skinned in the reality world)

-started driving again *despite me having license for few years but never drove around till now where i'm forced to

-a year which i suffered lots of minor bruises of my body

-staying outside without my uni-mates (missing them loads)

-started working out *used to hate the outdoor activities but not now anymore ;)

-had some eye-opener of the upper class life *can't disclose much bout this

-earned some money and at the same time realized the importance of money *always think twice before i buy stuff

Time really changes a person i guess and it happened to me. My perspective of life is sort of different from what i used to think of when i was younger.

Didn't get to travel much though for this year =((

Next year imma gonna travel gao gao to compensate back

Haven't been to the sauna for like 2 months and out of the blue moon i decided to hit the sauna today after gym workout.

So i took off my contact lenses and wore my specs into the gym. Had a chat with this random lady from Utopia (was wearing my specs) and wondering how come i can't see her clearly.

Turned out that one side of the spec kinda melted or i don't know what (because of the heat in the sauna), the lense turned out to be blurry.

FML nao i gotta wear contact lenses at home :(((((

Anyhow i'm trying to make myself feel better by thinking that yea maybe it's time to change a specs.

I got this pair of specs when i first starting working *part time when i was in 2nd year of uni.

Well...Life goes on. Things changed.

Damn am planning to get this holiday(xmas) set of make up/facial care products with the money. Now i gotta fork out more.

Was down with food poisoning yesterday.

Harry Potter was quite a disappointment, was kinda lost with the storyline *i guess you gotta read all the books to have a better understanding
